Carrier Oil

The carrier oil is the base oil which makes up the largest percentage of a beard oil. Unlike essential oil which are highly potent and have powerful aromas, a carrier oil has little smell and evaporation isn't a needed problem to avoid.

Carrier oils range in their viscosity, so some will be thicker than others; something that men choose considerately when coming up with an ingredient list for their beard oils. The difference in the oils' thickness can determine how they are used in a product marketed toward facial hair.

Carrier oils are made up of fatty acids.

Many of these oils can be found in beard oil. Keep in mind that some are DHT blockers.
